City of David: Then and Now

There’s a good chance that many of our current blog readers were not with us back in 2005. So while I’m traveling today, I thought I’d re-post a link to a photo comparison of the City of David. It’s worth a look.

I also have just created a PowerPoint presentation with these two photos to make it easier to flip back and forth.

  • I am struck by how denuded the landscape was in the old photo. It is nice to see all the trees being planted.

  • The Palestian settlements have taken over the landscape. Nice to know the Palestinians weren't there 100 years ago either.

  • Thanks so much for this, Todd. Adding Feinberg's 1960's photo (from almost the same exact location) produces a very interesting perspective on the late development of the buildings now standing on this hill.
