My hasband was just in Israel and spent a few days in Jerusalem. He went there with a couple friends from school to celebrate his graduation. Thursday he recieved his Doctorate in Near Eastern Languages and Cultures(Hebrew Bible)from UCLA. We have a few pics of his travels on my blog and nore on his MySpace page.

Not to mention the fact that the staircase in the tower doesn't look like it's about to collapse and you don't have to worry what people are smoking while enjoying the view.

You need to add the CHS (including Zelantinos).

Thanks, Todd, for the list. I feel so privileged to have been one of the few to see the St. Etienne tombs. I'm so glad I sacrificed a few hours of book studying to see these magnificent tombs. But I didn't get to see Tomb of the Kings. Maybe next time if we yell in French and bang a little louder on the entrance, we might be able to get in.

The mere mention of these sites brings back floods of great memories. I was given a full bottle of vadka at the Western Wall by a clearly drunk orthodox Jewish man singing "I Feel Good". I also remember the night we spent on the roof of the Petra Hostel. It rained what seemed like 2". Matt Kitner and I kept dry in our sleeping bags by sleeping on old mattresses and covering ourselves with blankets that were so dirty they were waterproof.
I would like to add a couple of "sites". One is the the Old City wall. It is breathtaking. Especially at sunset after sneaking onto them afterhours. The other is the bell tower at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. IMO the best view of the Old City.

Speaking of frequent BAS newsletters, I hope somebody with better credentials than I would kindly inform them that the DSS photo included in many of their E-mails is upside down. I'm guessing that Mr. Shanks doesn't subscribe to his own marketing campaign; otherwise he would surely correct it.
